Later this afternoon we be doing a major migration of many of our services including this forum, email system, ban appeals, player reports, cloud access, and VIP system/store. During this downtime, we will be relying on our Discord for any communication needed with the Moose staff. While we are not certain how long this migration will take, we're hoping it will only be for a few hours. If you are a VIP on one of our modded servers and have not yet redeemed your VIP kit this week, I highly recommend doing that ASAP if you'd like to enjoy it before the start of the week. Today we will be moving the last of our servers to our new server provider which unfortunately requires us to change IP as well. Main and Vanilla Low pop have already gone through this transition, and it went very smoothly. Hopefully we will not have any issues with this one as well. Same as before, there are 3 ways to find the new servers: Use commands to join our 2x or 3x servers: "connect modded.moose.gg:28017" or "connect triomodded.moose.gg:28027", respectively. Check on our Server Status Manager (SSM) for information about these servers. The "Connect Commands" are direct links to the server. Make sure your game is closed, and click the link. It will launch your game and join the selected server for you. Search for "Rusty Moose" on the server browser in game. All of our servers should show up. This is usually the slowest method, but it does allow you to add the server to your favorites so it's easier to find in the future. Hello, As some of you may know, we suffered from a data breach in which a hacker gained full access to one of our systems that houses this forum system. During this breach the attacker had access to our full file system and was able to acquire all of our RCON passwords to our Rust servers among other data. This is why we went offline suddenly and had an unplanned wipe on Sunday (Feb. 5). This was an attempt to limit the damage caused by this attack. We quickly closed this breach as soon as we became aware of the attack. We are still investigating the breach to get a full understanding of what exactly was accessed/taken, however, we are confident that no player or customer data was taken or accessed. With that being said, I would like to remind everyone that we do not store ANY data used during a transaction. PayPal is our one and only vendor for this exact reason. When you purchase something, whether it be with your PayPal account credit or a credit card linked to your PayPal account, we do not receive any of this information. All our system receives is a confirmation of payment and a PayPal transaction ID. We know that many of you have put your trust in us and we let you down. We apologize and vow to do better in the future. We are currently in the process of implementing new security features that will greatly reduce the chance of this happening again in the future. As a precaution, we have signed everyone out of their accounts forcing you to log back into them. Additionally, while we are confident no account details were taken, we do encourage all users to change your password A.S.A.P. as a precaution.
