Brazilian Servers

Recommended Posts

Is there any future plan for creating a Brazilian or South American server? There is a large community of Latinos needing a server with decent latency.

We only just opened a European server a couple of months ago.
At this time we do not have plans to open any specific locations.
But there is always a chance, no matter how small, that we'll continue to expand.

It's something we have looked into in the past, but ends up being an abandoned idea as there is no reliable host in South America that we'd be able to go with.

The hosts that are there are mostly for hosting small websites or large companies - not so much for game hosting. The hosts that are capable to run a large Rust server on it are just simply too expensive. We couldn't even be close to being able to afford it.

Until something changes with that, we don't have any plans for South America at this moment. An alternative would always be hosting a server in Texas and then just saying that it's a South America server, but I'd hate to advertise that and the players still get 150 ping. Just doesn't seem fair.

We're always monitoring new technology and ways for us to improve/expand and you never know what the future holds.
