Frequently Asked Questions

How often does the server wipe?

  • All Rusty Moose servers wipe weekly at the time of the update.
  • Game updates hit every Thursday usually ranging from 2PM to 4PM CST but this is not set in stone. Sometimes they are very early, and sometimes very late.
  • The first Thursday of every month is what is known as a "forced wipe". The devs force the map to wipe to fix/update the map generator known as ProcGen.
  • We try to make an announcement in our Discord whenever the servers are updated, however, every once in awhile we have our hands full or forget.

Can I view a map of the server?

  • We do not use live map plugins for any of our servers.
  • www.playrust.io is a fantastic source of up-to-date maps. Just search for "Rusty Moose".

What do the admins do on Rusty Moose?

  • We do not play at all. We are here to keep the server clean and make sure our rules are being followed.
  • We like to interact with the community and have some fun. We might screw with you or fill your inventory with pumpkins while you sleep and tell Twitter about it.
  • We're not contractors. If you screw up your base design, we will not remove/fix it for you. Start crafting those picks!
  • Do your best to show respect to all admins. We work hard to provide our community with a fun and safe environment. Don't be an ungrateful little brat. :)
